The series tells the story of Yusuf, whose story is mentioned in the Qur’an in Surat Yusuf; His story was mentioned in the Prophetic Sunnah that Youssef was given half of Al-Hasan. The crew who wrote the script amounted to 20 people who used the Qur’an, books of interpretation, history, and hadith, as well as some books of the Sunni doctrine, so they wrote nearly 8000 pages. The series was broadcast exclusively on the Al Kawthar channel in its dubbed version into Arabic, in parallel with its broadcast in its original Persian language on the Iran channel. The dubbed series was well received by many viewers and became the talk of the hour, as well as many criticisms. The series was broadcast in Ramadan 1430 AH (2009 AD), on Al-Manar TV. Then it was broadcast on Arab satellite channels. The series sparked controversy among Sunni scholars for its embodiment of the personality of one of the prophets who should not be personified so as not to shake their images in people
